MADRID, 5 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
FC Barcelona continues as the firm leader of the 2023-2024 F League after adding its seventh victory of the season by beating Sevilla 8-0 thanks to a spectacular Salma Paralluelo, author of a poker, while Real Madrid recovered in Ipurua with work (0-1) the second place after Levante UD beat Madrid CFF (0-1), in matches corresponding to the seventh day of the championship.
At the Johan Cruyff Stadium, after the well-deserved tribute of the fans to the Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmatí, the spotlight was on the young Salma Paralluelo, in charge of ending any hint of resistance from a Sevilla team that last year had been capable, in its stadium, to end its rival’s almost two-year winning streak in the competition.
The Aragonese striker, about to turn 20, celebrated her third place in the trophy awarded by ‘France Football’ in style, with four goals, all varied, between the 7th and 39th minutes to finish the match before the break . After this, the current champion did not let up and went up 7-0 in the 54th minute after a double from Mariona Caldentey and a goal from Caroline Graham Hansen. There were no more goals until the 91st minute when Marta Torrejón closed the scoring.
For its part, Real Madrid recovered from its first defeat of the campaign before the international break, against Levante UD at the Alfredo di Stéfano (1-2), with a narrow victory in Ipurua against the newly promoted SD Eibar, which they could only beat with a goal from the Danish Signe Bruun in the 73rd minute and after having enjoyed good chances to have had more peace of mind before.
The Madrid team returned to second place, three points behind the lead thanks to the victory of Levante UD at the Fernando Torres against Madrid CFF in one of the matches that aroused the most expectations of the weekend between two candidates fighting for the positions of the Champions League and are tied at 15 points.
The ‘granotas’, after a hesitant start to the league, added a second victory away from home against a direct rival in a highly disputed match that was decided in their favor, once again asserting their danger from a dead ball with a header from the Colombian Mayra Ramírez at the exit of a corner kick in the final stretch and just after it had been stopped due to a lighting failure.
The one that falls a little off the front line of League F is Atlético de Madrid, which suffered its first away defeat, second of the year, in its visit to Costa Adeje Tenerife, which won 2-1 and leaves the red and whites eight points behind FC Barcelona. The protagonist of the clash was the local Gift Monday with two goals in less than two minutes and although Lucía Morales ‘Wifi’ scored a goal shortly after, the visitors were unable to equalize.
The Tenerife team remains one point behind the colchoneras as does Levante Las Planas, which continues its good start to the season and emerged victorious from its visit to Granada CF thanks to a goal from Tang Jiali in the 92nd minute.
In addition, Valencia extended its streak of games without losing to four, with eight points added, by beating last-place Sporting Club Huelva 2-0 at home, with goals from María Molina and Claudia Florentino, while a goal in the final minutes by Alejandra Bernabé gave Real Sociedad the victory against Villarreal in Zubieta. Finally, Betis put an end to five games without a win by defeating Athletic Club with a goal from Gema Soliveres.
