Dr. Maha Al-Nimr, a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, explained how to choose the appropriate contraceptive for women.
She indicated, “Dr. Maha,” in a tweet she posted on her official account on the social networking site “Twitter,” indicating that the appropriate contraception differs from one woman to another.
She pointed out that a woman who does not like the daily commitment to pills can take a patch, an IUD, a slide, or a vaginal ring.
Al-Nimr explained that those who suffer from a stroke or cholesterol should refrain from taking dual pills, while those who suffer from fibers or deformities in the womb should refrain from taking the IUD.
